This is a watercolor and color pencil tessellation of sea turtles and fish. The tessellation came from a linocut print that I made several years ago called “Bermuda”. It was inspired by my time in Key West. When I was diving I used to see green sea turtles and have caught dolphin while fishing. The fish motif is a stylized version of a dolphin since the tessellation doesn’t have a rounded head like the dolphin. I added some silver color pencil over the blue to try to show They have beautiful color and are iridescent when the sunlight shines off their sides while they swim.
Its another small scale tessellation that is 4-1/2 inches by 4-1/2 inches.
