I enjoyed a recent summer vacation when we traveled to the Adriatic and visited Split, Croatia as well as several other stops along the way. This is a view of some of the boats along a dock outside of Split. Split is a beautiful coastal City with many historical buildings. Diocletians Palace has been placed on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites and is an extraordinary engineering structure. These were tour boats, I believe, with colorful sun shades to reduce the summer heat. It was hot, 97 degrees when we were there in early July 2024.
I spent a couple weeks on the painting. Stopping and making adjustments as necessary.
